I've been listening to Sarah's new Cd Day One,,
some of her music sounds alot like Maggie Reilly another beautiful singer,, such as Mary and California,, anyone else see the similarities??

when i play the cd around newbies, a lot of them say this:

"it sounds like no doubt, but i don't recognize any of the songs"

of course, i'm playing day one for them, which is more rocky. i have yet to play nightbugs for anyone, i'll try, and see what their comparisons are!

When I bought the newest Women and Songs cd, I heard [i:07b40bf62f]Lucky Me[/i:07b40bf62f] and thought it was No Doubt. Then I saw her and thought she looked like Paris Hilton. o.O

paris hilton!? Yikes...

I don't think she looks anything like Sarah or vice versa. :shock:

On a side note... I brought up ms Hilton in one of my lectures and I actually had to admit to myself later that as much as I don't care for her character, I have to admit the girl is hot.

On TV here in Mexico there is this quote of her's that keeps on getting played (I think it's a promo commercial or something)... where she says "No matter what a woman looks like, if she's confident, she's sexy."

I like that. She gets a bonus point... which still has her in the deep negative... but aneeeeway... (maybe I AM the number one tangenteer after all... hehe)

There... when I first saw her I thought "Paris Hilton". But, as we all know, Sarah's much more beautiful than her. And if you still don't agree.. at least admit they have the same nose... :cry:

Nic, I'm surprised. Paris Hilton is far from hot in any way, shape or form, other than perhaps in a trashy way.

Can we stop using PH and SS in the same context. :?

I like too. I've always believed confidence is one of the most attractive features of any person (male or female). There's just something about it; when someone is comfortable in their own skin (regardless of what they actually look like) there's something incredibly attractive about them.

And Jim I must disagree, Paris is hot. Not in the attractive way... just in the smokin' moron sort of way.

I have to agree -- Paris Hilton is only attractive because she subjects herself sexualy. If you are speaking from a sheer just bone structural way, her features are entirely too sharp, and she has the body shape of a plank of cheap mdf board. And who thinks MDF is sexy?

I've had to use them often during some of my studio courses back in my program. And they're definitely not, uh... sexy? Nice comparison PT.

I don't think I need to defend myself on saying I think Paris Hilton is hot. There are a mulitude of people who agree and I truly wish I didn't.

When I brought her up in lecture we were talking about persuasive techniques that advertising companies use...

My point was that there are huge building-sized banners of PH in an interesting/sexy position (one move and there'll be no mystery left) for a perfume ad. Will wearing the perfume somehow make you more attractive? (ie: like PH)... Do we trust that the perfume smells good on the basis that PH is saying that it does?... and why do we give her credibility at all other than by her looks? What has she done to garner her popularity/success? Look sexy.

Man, I HATE admitting she's hot. But... she is. But purely in a sexual sense. She's not beautiful, or pretty, or cute. Just hot.

and that's my two cents. :wink:
