I thought the song was called "Somebody's Arms Tonight"??? :? There is 34 seconds of silence between "Wake Up" (3:44) & the bonus track which starts at 4:18 (bonus track is 4:22 in length).

i love the hidden track. easiest way for me to seperate the tracks is to record it to my minidisc recorder, and it seperates the silence inbetween wake up and somebody's arms. it first records 'wake up' and automatically pauses during the period of silence and immediately starts recording again when 'somebody's arms' starts. neat, eh?

I made an mp3 Cd of my 10 favourite CDs of 2004 and of course Sarah was on it so I took that opportunity to seperate the two songs from track 11 of the album and now both sit comfortably seperate on my mp3 CD. They are spending time away from each other as I re-ordered the tracks from their original playing order.

"And now I think I'll get through..."

I am SO behind...Ditto, Tritto, Quattro, etc...I still have yet to separate the track, because mainly, I am just lazy. But, although I am enraptured by the intensity of emotion on Sarah's performances, sometimes I just need a little pick-me-up, and this song is just so bright to brighten my day Big Grin

I was just re-listening to / reading the lyrics for this song, and I think I get it now.

This is just a theory, but I think she wrote / recorded this song while in LA.

It makes sense, really. Nobody had ever heard of it before the album came out, and it wasn't on the advance issue. That's the circumstantial evidence lol. But even looking at the lyrics... it's very typical of the LA experience, as well as some of the things she's specifically said about it.

She sings about leaving, 'And I know it's time to go, get up and out of this black hole,' 'oh my heart is halfway out the door.' - something any visitor to LA needs to do lol. She mentioned in her vitamins that she saw What The Bleep while she was there -- I think the 'drugs' she's referring to is the bad feelings, the negativity and so on (if you've seen it, and I think she mentions it in the vitamins entry, emotions are explained to be comparable to addictions). "Sweet city come on give me a handful of stars, I'm ready for the midnight show" is pretty self-explanatory in this context (can anyone figure out what the background vocal line is in between these two lines?).

OK anyways I'm just ranting now, but it really seems like this song is about a moment in LA - a mix of emotions and a sense of conviction. That's my opinion lol.
