I was flicking through the channels this morning and BAM! I flip to MMM (it's my morning ritual) and `Day One` hit me. I didn't see the beginning.. I got there for about half the song. I don't even know how to EXPLAIN what I saw. It was beautiful ---- but oh so criptic.

It used the`book` idea that `Lucky Me` had.... by telling a story and having the book open and close again. It was in the vein of a Radiohead video. Everything was drawn and cut up. Sarah was like her head on a drawn body. From what I gathered she was stuck in the `day`.. everything was red.. there was this huge spider/coalmine like thing she rode.. there were `bankers` with evil red eyes chasing her.. all of her `#1` hot hair balloons around. She rode on a dragonfly for a bit.. then she started to change, grew wings.. flew to her castle little city and sprung wings. She then got her little angel harem (which I pressume are her passioneers) and they all flew towards it. Then the clock strikes `MIDNIGHT` (like the big theme in the album) and it turns dark. Things start to grow and flourish in the dark, but then the skies halves. Half is red, then half is blue. Then it shoots to a picture of the earth.. then that turns into a blue and red ying/yang... and then she starts to transform into something beautiful but then transforms into a cocoon. Things then turn real.. and it's is black and white.. of a cocoon with a background.

The video was stunning.. though very, very.. spuratic in my opinion. It jumps everywhere. I wasn't aware that Day One would be the next single (with the rumours of Mary). But apparently this is the new single kids!

I heard Day One was going to be the next single but had no idea they made a video for it.

From your description it sounds amazing! Can't wait to see it.

Keep your eyes plastered to MMM? It played around 8:30-9:30am this morning. It is normally a repeat kind of thing in the mornings, so maybe it might be played again tomorrow morning? Like I said.. it was a COMPLETE fluke for me to catch it on.. I was NOT expecting it. For a moment, I wasn't sure WHAT it was! It's a great video though

I saw that same page that you must be referring to and thought the same thing. My guess, the author mistook an interview or review in which said that she fled an emotional house burning.

Agree Joel, I have to admit that it took me a couple of weeks after first discovering Sarah back in September to realize the "house burning down" story was strictly in the figurative sense.

With regards to the Day One video - awesome find PT - I'll be clued to MMM all weekend now.

Btw, is it just me, or is this something that you'd think this website, this message board might have gotten some info about in advance? Or a streaming version to view?

Well Lucky Me was made availble through this site via maple and they sent the video to a couple of other sites aswell (1 being umbrella).

It is quite the surprise that video was just shown, but nothing wrong with surprises.

boywonder, thanks. yeah i know she spoke about why the house was burning down in interviews. i just found it odd to see a web site stating her house burned down! haha. maybe il emaill them.

Like you had mentioned.. I am extremely surprised the site has said nothing about it! After watching it I zoooooomeeedd to the site to see if it was mentioned -- rien. How strange... perhaps there is something in the works

According to the MMM website the video flow was at 6-8am. They have a "now and then" video flow at 9-10am. The later menitoned one is not repeated but the regular video flow will be on at 4am.

No mention of it planning to be made nor her being in the filming process. It must have been done a few months ago... I am thinking around the same time that Black Widow was filmed?

Hmm... interesting. I would love to see it... but being in Mexico... I doubt plastering myself to MTV will do me any good. Rather, the reverse I am sure.

I think it was made really quickly. There was hardly any HER in the video. Basically from what I saw it was a few facial movements made over and over. Most of it I think was her artwork that she handmade tons of in the cabin... I am thinking they used most of that and just animated it.
