I know! I miss the trumpet! I wonder what Ms. McElcheran is up to these days.

I [b:91d381ef6a]finally[/b:91d381ef6a] got my copy of the CD yesterday! Must have come on the slowest boat from Canada.
I've only managed to listen to the album twice so far and haven't picked a favourite song yet as such. I must say though that on my initial listening I was drawn towards [i:91d381ef6a]The Score[/i:91d381ef6a], [i:91d381ef6a]Pilgrim[/i:91d381ef6a], and [i:91d381ef6a]Lucky Me[/i:91d381ef6a].

i am having trouble adjusting to this new album... So many of the songs are so... i dont know, manufactured sounding? Nightbugs was just raw sarah, sarah and her piano. I cant figure out what I really think of Day One yet, but it def. didnt have the same immediate impact that nightbugs had on me. Its just too much guitar, too much drum machine, too much like everything else out there, not enough sarah. I guess I am disappointed.

hard to decide, very difficult to choose just one, but I always end up singing along with Day One... that's the first track on the cd that always gets me so we'll go with that. I think its the swing time that does it.. embrace those rhythms!
