i actually like the polished version of Get Home! to be honest, i didnt like the song at all when we got that link for signing up for the newsletter. but the final version is gorgeous!


also, as exciting as all this is, i dont think i'm going to pre-order the album, which isnt actually that terrible of a thing since the only thing i'm missing, though great, is the Parasol download

I finally got a response from them. They said a bunch of links weren't sent out. Downloading now.

I'm really surprised that Parasol isn't on the album either, but now it's like a little (or big) treat for us fans!! Get Home sounds great as well. I like the demo and this version equally.
I cannot wait to hear the rest of the songs!!!

To TS: The last time she performed (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) was in December. However, she's been playing new songs since more than a year ago. Hope that helps!

sigh... i hate having had a broken computer that got fixed but not fully and now sound doesn't come out. i guess off to the school computers to listen to the newer version of Get Home! aaaaand on a side note... WOW did i miss on a lot of journals by Sarah Slean! i didn't know she used her MySpace page for it!

The myspace postings were same as those posted to the site. With the overhaul her blog is down and I don't believe the archive is accessible.

I think the links for Parasol were each unique and contained a 1 time upload of the track. Orders might have outrun these unqiue pages for a short period of time. At least that's my guess. I didn't have a problem with it. Liked the price, too bad about shipping.

I cleaned up the littleslean news page up a bit. Will continue to try update it visually and with content.

after listening to Parasol on my iPod i soon realized it is a VERY danceable song! it would be fun if Sarah Slean performs this in concert and grabs some people from the audience and make them act out the song/dance to it/however the song is making them move. hahaha. it'll be fun to watch. maybe it's just me who dances to this song. LOL.

Is anyone still having problems downloading Parasol? I've emailed them three times since I pre-ordered (last Tuesday) and received one response. They said they resent it that afternoon but I still haven't seen it.

I am desperate to hear Parasol. I am going to buy the album but as I am in the UK I am not able to get the free download :-(

Can anyone help? Is this allowed?

Hi Phil,

I was unaware of any limitations with receiving the free album track with your pre-oder of The Baroness from the UK.

The shipping might be more but it should work out. After this preorder deal I don't know how or if Parasol with be distributed.

Whatever the case, it's not in good form to distribute official made material especially when it appears there is a legal way of attaining it.

Although this song will not be on The Baroness there is a good chance it could be on a DVD. See my signature regards to the article on songs that didn't make the cut.
