[quote:37e79a1232="Sweet One"]I know! She totally left us hanging on this one too... she talked about 'tomorrow' and never got there! hehe[/quote:37e79a1232]

I was worried after she said goodbye to Canada at the end of the previous one that she was done blogging, apparently not yet Big Grin

Oh I have to add that while the Townehouse in Sudbury is clearly a little (well now that I know about the downstairs gross rooms a LOT) sketchy, one of the bathrooms now sports some 'Duncan' lyrics Big Grin

OOh exciting...

[quote:06f6c9f8b0]I usurp D.J. position and dance recklessly to The Police and Missy Elliot. [/quote:06f6c9f8b0]

I knew it! Even those with the most discriminating tastes will admit to enjoying a little Missy every once in a while.

Hmmm, I was looking forward to a mention of the Toronto show, I wonder if perhaps that will no longer come now that she's in Paris and hasn't blogged it yet? She seems to be saying farewell to the Maclean's site.

I thoroughly enjoy reading these entries though. She has such a way with words... and I'm quite glad to hear she's embraced the blog phenomenon! It's so contagious! I love it!

[quote:2eb3a63c07]I have hereby decided that the Slean website journal will now not be exclusively reserved for poems, but as an avenue for these ongoing life chronicles, this 21st century phenomenon known as the blog. I will be under "PEN".[/quote:2eb3a63c07]

makes me very happy. I could read her blogging over and over... there are such profound things tucked away in there Smiler

why would loving missy be seen as an exception to having "discriminating tastes"? she is fantastic. such a talent as both an artist and writer, not to mention her wicked producing skills.

Because while *I* agree with you, not everyone would... "discriminating tastes" often involved a little class-ism (not that I'd expect that from Sarah, of course), which in turn often means ruling out artists seen as 'popular' or who are seen as catering to the masses rather than to the art. Not that I think Missy (or a lot of other 'popular' artists) ignores the art, but a lot of people see the two as mutually exclusive.

I could rant, but I won't Wink

Hmm... the first hit on a google search for Up Music links to warner.fr. Methinks Up Music is just a subsidiary of Warner France... I was SO excited about a new label... especially give that I hadn't heard of it, I assumed it was an indie label... oh well. Maybe the next record she'll shed the Warner skin!

But YAY for blog. I love it Smiler

EDIT: Since Nicole won't post it... http://www.discogs.com/label/Up+Music I was right Smiler

i love sydnication.

looks like sarah or the person who published on her behalf is still using html hard returns <BR> instead of just hitting enter and letting blogger do text wrapping.

I did some looking up after the post too

My bet that the photographer is Renaud Monfourny. He has photographed Patti Smith and Feist to name a few. He shoots in France but I don't think he has site.
