I heard the live version of Our Lady Peace song "Juila". One of the live versions has either Sarah playing piano or someone else. When was the year back then that Sarah appeared with Our Lady Peace?? :?

The story (short-form) is that when Sarah was recording Universe she had a bit extra time in th studio so she did a cover of Julia. She went to an Our Lady Peace show and gave one of the security guards a cassette tape with her version of the song and lo and behold... they actually got it.

Raine Maida sent Sarah a postcard with his phone number, she called him, they arranged a meeting... but he stood her up.

She wrote a mean song about him, he heard about it, she was all embarrassed... and they never talked again. But, the tour he was on immediately after that... they played Sarah's version of Julia and quoted her as their friend (which Sarah found amusing considering their brief and rocky acquaintance).

I heard part of this story but not the part where she wrote a mean song about Raine. What song was it? Has it been released?

the song is Rock Star and wasn't actually released, but it is quite easy to find on most file sharing programs.

LOL! Good thing I never talked about Raine when I met Sarah. I can only imagine what she has to say about Chantal! :twisted:

In an interview on the radio, the host (whom I found to be a tad irritating) was bugging sarah about raine being her "boyfriend" and she seemed quite explicit that there was no interest, especially on her part.

I don't know if she would think anything of chantal... except maybe "how could you marry a guy like that!?" (just kidding)

I've considered Chantal my favourite singer for years now. But with her lack of recording and releases, she's been on the back burner since like last year while Sarah Slean and others get my attention. I miss Chantal

No offense taken. LOL! I understand Chantal isn't for everyone and even lately, her most recent stuff isn't for me. Right now I'd choose 'Night Bugs' over 'What If It All Meanz Something'... however, picking 'Night Bugs' over 'Under These Rocks And Stones' is another story...
