Where will this CD be available at?

http://www.cdbaby.com/all/kristilyn <-- these are my CDs. Smiler "This music is in the vein of Terami Hirsch (without the electrics), Sarah Slean (without the drunk-ish vocals) and perhaps, Tori Amos (without the nuts)." Amy Lotsberg, Collected Sounds.

Everywhere, I assume. I ordered mine from BestBuy.ca over the weekend for $12.99. It was the same price at FutureShop.ca and a few bucks more at CDPlus.com. I imagine it will be in all 3 of those stores (plus HMV and others) as well.

I rushed to the mall to get this right after work and I'm pretty impressed by Sarah's contributions. They're different than what I expected but both really great. Comfortably Numb is my favourite of the two, perhaps we can convince her to play it live? Nice to see a small photo of her on the back cover.

The songs have small descriptions of the interpretations and a small history of each song.

The comments about Us and Them and Comfortably Numb are:

[quote:cde06e5dd3]Us And Them
This version closely compares to the original song. Highlighting the vocal melodies and allowing for a rather ambient aura throughout.[/quote:cde06e5dd3]

[quote:cde06e5dd3]Comfortably Numb
This version, although directly inspired by the original, has made the soft, aerial feel all it's own. A vibrant, yet sensitive, performance that reflects the inner soul of this mesmerising classic.[/quote:cde06e5dd3]

There is a small bio of Sarah on the last page
[quote:cde06e5dd3]Born in Pickering, Ontario, Sarah is a passionate artist. SHe recorded her first album Universe at the age of 19 and, since then, has released three other albums, Blue Parade, Nightbugs, and Day One. In addition to songwriting she creates all the artwork, composes the strings and horns, and contributes to the production effort for each recording. She has been nominated for two Junos and has toured with many famous acts throughout Canada, the States, France and Germany. Recently, Toronto's SPIN gallery held an exhibition of her artwork, and she has released a book of poetry called Ravens. [/quote:cde06e5dd3]

Ohhhh, it's really good! Got it right at lunch :x It was the last one, but that may well be because they did not buy a lot or only wanted to put one out or something. ANYWAY! It is really good Smiler I agree with Comofortably Numb being the better of the two.

I picked up the CD and Sarah's cover of 'Us And Them' is beautiful! She does a good job on 'Comfortably Numb' too but I guess because I'm so familiar with that song anyway, her version of it is a bit plain. Sorry..! But hearing her singing these new songs made me excited for brand new Sarah material!

Oh MAN! Another new thing I've missed! So is this available widely (in Canada?) Like, could I just go to HMV on my way home from work and pick it up? Or is it one of those hard-to-find dealies?

I found it at CD Plus so it's a fairly easy find...

Picked it up on my way home from work!

[i:c322c1337d]Us & Them[/i:c322c1337d] will very likely be my new favorite song for a while.
