I think it's a painting of J.D. Salinger. Anybody know how big the print is? Is she selling it at her shows?

i had it listed on my site as being ts eliot for a while, but then another fan suggested that it would probably be jd salinger. Since no old age photos exist of salinger (to my knowledge) and all of sarah's older "realist" art was done from photos... I find that unlikely... although it is currently listed as salinger.

I think it's Einstein myself, but since I have nothing to base that on other than a hunch, I haven't changed the info on littleslean.

Hmm. I can see it being Einstein, given her recent Science/Faith/Philosophy obsession ... however based on pictures I've seen of him I would venture a guess that it's not.

Perhaps it's someone completely un-famous. Her father perhaps?

Personally, I think it looks more like einstein....

I have seen some photos of jd salinger, and he doesnt really resemble the painting.

I recently saw some pics of Salinger and it doesn't really look like him.

How about the philosopher, Bertrand Russell?

I'm having about 20 people staying at my place this Christmas, so I was cleaning out the house (boy was there a lot of junk! :? ). Found an old Time magazine about the 20th century's greatest minds. He was in it with philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein.

I know Smiler

And it is none of the above.

Here was Sarah's email to me

[quote:e1aa8fb0bf]Helloo...

there are two prints...one is of Erik Erikson, a forerunner of child psychology (old guy) and the other is from a photograph of an anonymous woman and her two kids....

no titles.....titles are strange for me...

cheers

Ah yes, Erik Erikson, I remember him from my Human Development class.
