[quote:a1f328ca8a="spiffylike"]YAY for a revolution of JOY....a joyful revolution perhaps??? I just bought the k-os cd, and I tell you folks, it's worth the purchase.[/quote:a1f328ca8a]

Definitely....loving the K-OS!

I can't figure out if K-OS is sampling Sweet Ones on track 7, or if its Sarah playing. She's listed in the credits which would suggest she playing on the track.....

It's definitely a Sweet Ones sample...I distinctly remember her speaking of it at one point...on her blog perhaps? I'm not sure, but she mentioned it, and I know she's a fan. It's so nice to find a hip-hop artist that has depth and creativity...

I find that most Canadian hip-hop artists do. They're also incredibly positive. For the most part.

I've been to a (small) handful of hip-hop concerts, all of which were Canadian artists. I have to say they were incredible and happy experiences, there's so much positivity and energy and... wow.

Agree. Since my previous post, I read somewhere (on the canoe articles that S.O. posted I think) a comment she made about not taking payment for the sample and that she was going to have him rap on her next album.

And yes, YAY for the depth and creativity of K-OS. Such a delightful mix of styles on this album. One of the best of 2004 for sure.
