learning things is always fun, exciting, exhilarating, [fill in your preferred word], and i thought maybe people could and should share their new discoveries with others. =) anything will do whether it be a random fact, perhaps a moral, or an eye opener. anything at all... of course keeping in mind the rules of the message board and respecting others. looking forward to the new discoveries! =)

ok... today i learned that "exhilarate" is spelled like that and not as "exhilirate"... hahha.

I've learned (not today but at one time) that the feeling of a heart breaking can be compared to ripping chunks away from a pomegranate.

was watching The Ellen Show and she gave a few examples of some really odd laws in some states in the USA... which were:

1. you can't have a gorilla in the back seat of your car.
2. you can't have more than 3 sandwiches in one day.
3. you can't chew someone's leg off.
4. you can't have a goatee unless you get a goatee license card.
5. you must take a bath before you go to bed.

and there was one more but i forgot... oh man... these are so odd.

Yesterday I learned that 3 solid hours of being tickled is much fun.


Today I learned that I have the greatest boyfriend ever. :P

And that I can barely get by without being in advanced englsih...

I'm pretty sure I learned that I'm biting off more than I can chew. (But I'm also pretty sure this won't stop anytime soon. :P)

Today I learned that I haven't the slightest clue what I'm getting myself into. I think I too have bitten off more than I can chew. :P Oh, well.

I learned that Bryan Adams is, finally, going to appear at a Juno Awards ceremony. He's getting a lifetime achievement award -- I guess that's what it took to bring him back.

I learned strange stuff yesterday (in a bookstore):

1. the human body starts rotting only 5 minutes after death
2. the maggots that are using your body as a feed, are leaving your body(after dinner) always in a colony and go in the direction of south; sometimes south-west, sometimes south-east, but NEVER north! this is until now an inexplicable phenomenon. :shock:

the book is called: "Die Chemie des Todes"
(translated: the chemistry of death)

Deep.

I learned that my driveway is a bitch to get out of and that if there is snow on it, I should plan to leave at least 20 minutes earlier.

Nothing like backing up, going into 1st, inching up a little bit more each time until I finally get out of the driveway and onto the road.

Today I learned that Hawksley is playing the UNB sub on my 16th birthday!

Today I learned that warm, sunny weather does not necessarily make people happy... it makes some people downright grumpy and angry.

Today I learned two things:

1. That locking yourself out of your car isn't a good idea.

2. Trying to break into your own car is a lot harder than it looks.

oh yeah! I agree! Once i broke into my car with the help of a rod, a plastic stripe, some rubber gloves and a banana!
And the banana - at least the sticky part of it - was about the most essential part of that operation..

As intriguing as that sounds ... I'm a little leary on hearing the story!

ouuu, me thinks that story is to complicated to tell properly..., the *breaking-in* part at least..
I was working in Australia at a banana farm and stayed with my friend on a campground. I wanted to have a shower and got all my stuff out of our station wagon veeery quickly as there were a lot of biting mosquitos around. In the rush I closed the door- with the key inside the car. We were quite frustrated, having locked all of our belongings in the car, in the evening, with all mechanic garages closed. Then our tent neighbour came to us - he happend to be (I�m not kidding) an ex-car-burglar! We collected all the things that were lying around and afer maybe 15 minutes we were inside!! And we didn`t even break something. So fabulous and so alarming how easy that was. :shock:
but it`s always a nice memory to think of!

how come you had to break into your car?

Today I learnt...that you shouldn't really laugh if your friend backs her car into a wooden pole and snaps it in half!! :? (it was kinda funny though... :wink: hehe)

went to the library to borrow books (and a DVD haha) for the first time in years and learned that people still go to the library (am i just too cynical of others? perhaps it was just me having lost the beauty of books for so many years...) anyways it made me smile that there were plenty of people there. =) haha.

today i learned that if i don't sign-on to the board for a couple of weeks, it'll cost me a couple of hours to get caught up on everything :wink:
