[quote:1e894c4879="joleary"]well, being a father of three, I'm well-versed in all things disney...[/quote:1e894c4879]

Have you see Lilo and Stitch? I loved that movie. It's one of the Disney movies that didn't seem to get a lot of attention.

The Princess Bride is one of my all time favorite movies when I was a kid. I recently bought it on DVD. Seeing as how someone quoted it I'll give another good quote:

[i:1e894c4879]Inigo Montoya: That Vizzini, he can *fuss*.
Fezzik: Fuss, fuss... I think he like to scream at *us*.
Inigo Montoya: Probably he means no *harm*.
Fezzik: He's really very short on *charm*.
Inigo Montoya: You have a great gift for rhyme.
Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.
Vizzini: Enough of that.
Inigo Montoya: Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
Fezzik: If there are, we all be dead.
Vizzini: No more rhymes now, I mean it.
Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?[/i:1e894c4879] [/color:1e894c4879]

Also: regarding Shawshank and A. Beauty, have any of you ever listened to the film composer Thomas Newman? ... [i:48bb1a3fe1]Six Feet Under[/i:48bb1a3fe1], which happens to be my favourite TV show.[/quote:48bb1a3fe1]

I can't say that I've paid particular attention to the composer, but I'm certainly intrigued now. I love a good instrumental track to study to. I just discovered Six Feet Under over the summer and absolutely love it. I'm so far behind, though, that I can't watch the new season...this always happens...

As for [b:48bb1a3fe1]Alice In Wonderland[/b:48bb1a3fe1], BoyWonder, I love it too! I also can't quite explain why...speaking of Disney, has anyone ever seen the [b:48bb1a3fe1]Black Cauldron[/b:48bb1a3fe1]? I had read the book long before I saw the movie, and didn't even realize what I was watching until afterwards -- quite a dark Disney.

Hooray for Alice! My favourite all time cartoon character is the Mad Hatter. As for Black Cauldron, I've heard of it, but I've never seen it.

Yes, I know it well.

But I found it to be among the most annoying movies I've ever seen. The little Lilo thing, or is it Stitch, grated on my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Was a struggle to last the entire movie...

Hmm.. I don't think I can go with any specific directors.

My favourite films are: Garden State, Amelie, Happenstance, Big Fish, Zoolander, JCS, Hair, Monty Python and the Holy Grail... right now I'm at a loss for words.
I'm sure I could list of many many more.

Movies I'm NOT into are the typical unfunny teenaged movies: You Got Served, My Boss's daughter, Eurotrip.. you know, stuff like that.

Oooh, yes. I highly suggest the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen. It's a very, very good listen. Magical.

I just watched that movie this Sunday past Smiler (16 Candles)...nothing like Molly Ringwald movies on a Sunday afternoon. Although, Pretty in Pink is my favourite "may I admire you again today?" Hmm...Breakfast Club comes pretty close, though...simply because Judd Nelson is sooo good in that movie.

I don't know if anyone else has seen Kate and Leopard (sp?) but I'm after watching it like 10 times. They keep playing it on TBS and for some reason I keep watching it. It's not like it is that good of a movie but man it keeps me enterainted. Big Grin [/color:ccbb159b49]

Is that the one with Meg Ryan?

that's the one...

I saw it on an airplane a couple years back...so granted, the "experience" sucks by definition.

I thought Hugh Jackman was okay, but Meg Ryan's cutesy, wutsey schtick is wearing a bit thin for me these days. And what's with her lips??

Yer a Miyazaki fan too eh? Those are indeed some of his best work ever. Altho my personal favourite is still [u:4f4ac963ca]Naputa: Castle in the Sky[/u:4f4ac963ca]. Let's just say there's a strong nostalgia factor.

... Pazu
