I don't know you well, but, happy belated birthday!

Went to a play last night. In short, I got stranded there for a few hours. In the dark. With drunk dudes stalking my friend and I.

I feel like the grinch when I walk into class... you know... when his heart grows ten sizes bigger and he gets that big dopey grin on his face. Big Grin

Red Face You teach art?! Jealous! I have to stick to taking art. Which is going to rule judging by what my sister has said, and the fact that it's art class automatically makes it bitchin'. And drama. I cannot wait for drama! And history... wow. I always hated school... What the heck is with this sudden turn of the tables??

Oh, thank you Jimothy. And as for these crazy kids with their wild hair, and positive academic habits... Pfft... And the music! "Sarah Slean". "Billie Holiday". "Jethro Tull". That's not music, it's noise! It's madness I tell you!

Yeah... everything's funnier when you're sleepy...

Wow... I watched "Dazed and Confused" the other night (a film about the last day of school in '76) with a couple of my friends. They were all saying that their parents graduated that year... My parents were 11 and 12 years old that year! haha. It was funny. I thought I'd share. One guy goes, "My dad was 36 when I was born", and I told him that "I remember when my dad was 36, because I was 11, and my sister was 14!". It was great fun, indeed.

I'm double-posting because I need to rant

Liz Phair tickets went on pre-sale on House of Blues today.

Ticket face value: $20.

I thought great, a pair of tickets will be around $40.

WRONG.

So I go in, type '2' in the box, go to the next page. Subtotal: $52. APparently the per-ticket convenience fee was $6. That's 30%.

I think 'fine, ok, ticketmaster is a rip-off, this is nothing new.'

I then go to the next page, choosing my delivery option. Options are will-call (for US residents only because apparently HOB/ticketmaster is no longer able to ship tickets over the US border), and standard mail.

I'm about to choose the standard mail option before I notice the service fee for that: $18.

Yes, $18, for a pair of $20 tickets.

That would have brought my total price, for a pair of $20 tickets, to $70. A total of $30 of charges on $40 of tickets, or a whopping 75%.

I, of course, cancelled the transaction. Someone should make fees like that a crime, 'cause I feel like I almost got raped.
