That's all I remember. I still have not figured out WHY they thought it was necessary to make us memorize lines of Shakespeare in school. What possible value could that provide me with? I always did poorly on taht in school. grr.

They didn't make us memorize Shakespear lines, but in grade 10 I was one of the few in our English class who memorized the prologue of Romeo and Juliet. I could receit the whole prologue really fast, but now this is all I can remember .. and I'm surprised I can still remember this much of it!!(grade 10 was a long long time ago :wink

I'll never forget our teacher covering the TV screen with his hands during the "dirty" parts of the 60's movie of it. heehee. (Catholic high school. lol) Sadly, we immediately stopped studying Romeo & Juliet when a girl in our class died in a car accident. :cry:

we also had to memorize a shakespearean soliloquy.... and I can still remember mine too... hehe... sometimes after a few drinks I pull it out to impress people. I even have the emphasis and dramatic voicing down.
