Hey everyone,

Totally random post, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a good place in Toronto to sell used records. My parents gave me all their old records and told me to sell off any of the ones I didn't want... and now I can't think of anywhere good to bring them! A lot of them are totally random so I want to go somewhere that will take anything (unlike stores like Sonic Boom that are selective).

Any thoughts?

LOL. Like "Rock On With The Shadows" or "James Last Live In London"?

SONIC BOOM on Bloor St. West...get off at Bathurst subway stop, and walk east on Bloor St (it's not very far), it's big, you can't miss it. and it's amazing. they have a HUGE section at the back with used (some are 99 cents!) and new records.

now my question...
does anyone know where i can buy a RECORD PLAYER?? i have records and no player!!

I'm not looking to buy, i"m looking to sell. And as AWESOME as Sonic Boom is (seriously, some great finds to be had there), they're very selective about what they buy.... though now that I say that, it seems they've updated their website,a nd that's no longer true. It also doesn't say anything about vinyl though. I shall investigate further... hmmm

In New Zealand we've got this great internet site called 'trade me' where you can sell absolutly everything and anything really easily! People bid for items and the highest bid wins when a certain amount of time is up. It has really taken off over here (and is totally addictive!). Do you have anything similar in Toronto?

Not yet, but I got an e-mail from Sonic Boom who said they do buy vinyl, usually up to $3 per record, no classical or big band. Which leaves me with only about 3 or 4 to get rid of. I"m going in with all the ones they'll likely take next weekend. Anyone looking for some classical records? lol. I may just donate them somewhere.
