I cannot believe that the Chicago White Sox beat up the Houston Astros by a score of 1 - 0 & win the World Series 4 games to 0. :shock: I thought that Houston would come back in the bottom of the 8th inning & win & go to Game 5. ops:

I'm not a huge baseball fan....or sports fan for that matter...

I like hockey and I recently began to understand football.. that's about it from a spectator's perspective.

That almost sounds as crazy as the Boston Redsox coming back to beat the Yankees last year from a 3-0 series.

Houston had plenty of chances to win games 3 & 4. THey were 0 for 29 or something like that with men in scoring position. Chicago was just the better team this year.

I'm only a casual baseball fan myself. I'm a huge hockey fan, but I follow pretty much all major sports.

I also follow pretty much all sports, at least with regards to watching Sportscentre and reading the paper every day. CFL football, hockey, and golf are tops, but I watched a bit of the games this baseball playoffs. I was glad to see the White Sox win, seeing as how they hadn't since 1918 I think it was. I like stories like that.

I'm a huge baseball fan, and Yankee fan, but I couldn't find much enticing about this series. I played baseball all through high school and college, and I understand the beauty of a good pitching series. But at the same time, when there's no consistent offense, and especially in the playoffs when the commerical breaks are twice as long, and the announcers three times as annoying as usual, I couldn't watch any of the games for an extended period of time. I was, however, glad to see the White Sox beat Houston. I didn't want to see Pettitte or Clemens win a World Series outside of a Yankee uniform...

Way to go White Sox!!!!!!

Luckily I will not be attended game 6 of the World Series this year because the Sox clinched it in Houston.

Yen called it right....Houston SO gave it away - mind you, the Chisox were rockin' on all cylinders, so methinks it wouldn't have mattered.

Not quite the magical playoffs of last year - but still enjoyable to see a perennial loser finally win.
