Thought it would be better to start a fresh post since the other was posted a while back. anyways, any thoughts on philisohpical ideas please do share =). So to kick things off, i will start with a simple sentence that one of my teachers once told us to think about and i never really understood it and just made my head hurt... haha.
This statement is false.
Thhink about it... if you agree that the statement is false then it's no longer false... but if you disagree it's not false then the statement is not false... so... ?!
haha... and anyone see the movie I <3 Huckabees? it's really just wow. for those who haven't seen it... it's basically about existentialism and the path to finding truth. discussion about this movie?
i heard huckabees: saw it, thought it was cool. but you know what would have been neater, had the script not been so straight forward and to the point. i thought all the information was given to me and i would have prefered to make a discovery. just a thought. FuN!
making a discovery... nice thought. i would have to agree with you on that. yeah, they pretty much shoved the information in your face. ah i see it now... they should have let it unravel rather then an explosion of "this is it: existence" kind of thing. hmm. i shall watch it again this holidays. despite all that... it's a good movie!
If you like the subject matter of I Heart Huckabees, but want something a little more subtle, try "Songs From the Second Floor." It's a Swedish film that was released on the film festival circuit in 2000, I think.
