Hey all,
I'm thinking of starting up a message board for another artist (more info later), does anyone know of anywhere that has GOOD, but FREE, message boards??

http://www.vbulletin.com/ - is among the best, but its not free�.but I think it�s under $100.

Probably the best freeware version that I�ve seen is http://www.discusware.com - they also have a commercial �pro� product that relatively inexpensive, but the free-ware should probably do the trick.

Lindi uses a free bravenet board (and I believe that was what Sarah Slean used temporarily with the switch a year or so ago)...

though I am not necessarily reccomending bravenet. I have found some associated adware on my computer that is linked to it.... though harmless, I still don't like it.

Bah... I've tried all of the above, and none are what I'm looking for... what I'm looking for is something like this one, with individual forums and such... any suggestions????
I ended up getting one on ezboard.com but it wouldn't let me change the titles of the forums, and it was only a one-month trial. grr.

I finally got it set up...
Pardon the colour scheme... if anyone has any particular suggestions as to how to make it better, PLEASE let me know... there are SO many different colours to play with and this is thebest I've come up with for now... so.. any fans of Shaye, come visit!

Definately work with the colours. They clash too much! Instead of a black background, use light. Because of the type of music Shaye does, I'd suggest using all light colours for backgrounds and all dark colours for text.

Yes there is. It's in the admin section (assuming your signin name is admin), I forget where exactly but for every board section you make, you can set it so that only members can post and create topics.

I found it online and tweaked it a bit to make it look the way I wanted. I should increase the size of it so that it fills the screen, instead of repeating.
