Hi ,
I�m quiet new to Sarah and her fantastic music.
I do only know the DAY ONE und NIGHT BUGS - CDs.
In her hamburg - concert she did only play songs from these two albums. So - before I will buy the first albums , which are quiet expensice , cause they are not easy to get here in germany - here�s my questins.

Are they the same style as the newer albums ? Or is the music of the beginning of her career different ?
What are your favourite CDs ?

Even listening to Nightbugs and then Day One, you can hear a difference/progression in her music. Her first 2 albums were more naked than her last 2. The songs are more reliant on her piano playing and in my opinion, you hear a lot more emotion.

Universe was an amazing first album which lead up to my still favorite, Blue Parade.

Of course I would strongly reccomend getting Blue Parade and I am sure the other board members will follow me to say you need to get them both. But if you�re expecting songs along the lines of Day One, you�ll be in for a surprise.

Hopefully you are able to pick one or both of them up!

Of the two, Universe is my favourite but I'd still recommend both! They are quite different than Night Bugs and Day One but they are such beautiful albumbs... go buy NOW!

I'm not sure if they ship internationally though. You can also get some of her art and poetry through that site.

I think all her older cds are great, but they are different from Day One. My personal favourite is Nightbugs, it was the album that got me hooked on Sarah's music.

Sarah Slean's boutique works with MapleMusic, and they definitely ship internationally. It's how I got Universe and Blue Parade!

Arneb - i concur with the comments made so far from the other passioneers, Sarah's first two CD's are wonderful, but markedly different from her latest.

I have placed my order for both CDs.
I love Sarahs voice so much that I won�t be disappointed for sure.

Another thing I have in my head for a few days now.
When I listen to LUCKY ME - I think it would be a perfect song for Cyndi Lauper.
For me as a Cyndi Lauper fan it would be great if they would collaborate in the future.

Ok - �now - after listening to the first 2 albums a lot of times - I really love them. Especially Playing cards with Judas - fantastic song.
In the beginning I had some problems understading the song words - I think Sarah was singing a bit lazy , but after I read them and heard them a few more times I have no problems with them . he he...

I love all the albums , but I think LOVE BUGS is my No. 1 at the moment .

I remember listening to "I Know" for several months before I found the lyrics and realized that all that time I had been singing along to completely different words!! I remember being so shocked to read what the real lyrics were... :shock:

Playing Cards with Judas is one of the songs that when you say Sarah Slean, it pops into my head...

... and I have to say - I HATE HIDDEN TRACKS .... never understand why someone can do that .... I do have a 25 CD-Player and do RANDOM/Shuffle... stupid thing .
It�s not funny if you listen to 1 CD and have to skip or wait for the great songs.

But Sarah is doin better on her newer CDs :-)
