I agree, there is nothing like perfect song arrangmen on a CD. I find that when songs aren't placed right on a CD it really disrupts the whole feel.

Yes!! I agree!!! I think that was the only thing that originally put me off from Day One a little bit... I mean parts of it flow nicely, but at other points it just feels... wrong... dissonant if you will.... even though the songs are amazing

If you guys could reorder the tracks on Day One, how would they go? I know I wouldn't put 'Your Wish Is My Wish' and 'Wake Up' back-to-back. 'Wake Up' belongs as the last track but 'Your Wish' should probably come after 'Day One'. ;Vertigo' should go between 'Lucky Me' and 'Mary'.

I agree Max....Wake Up is perfect as the closing track on the CD. I would suggest the "hidden track", Somebody's Arms be placed elsewhere too.

If only to keep me from being startled every damn time I hear it.

I think I would move California from being after Mary to after The Score...that's just me though.

I messed around with track orders today, and I relly think that the order on the CD is the best. But as an alternate, perhaps:

Day One
Pilgrim
Vertigo
Mary
Out in the Park
When Another Midnight
The Score
Lucky Me
California
Your Wish is My Wish
Wake Up

I agree with the placement of Day One as the opening track....it would best set the tone for the entire CD I think.

And I agree that Wake Up should stay as the last track, I think "Your Wish is my Wish" would serve as a mid-point track, similar to the way "Dark Room" does on Night Bugs.

the only one I'm not too sure about is, Lucky Me...but it may take a few more listens to see

I think the segue from Lucky Me to California is great, but maybe I'm just used to it -- I got the Sarah Slean sampler before Day one, and it had those two tracks on it, in that order.

Because I'm [i:0c760ffe9e]that[/i:0c760ffe9e] awesome. No, actually, our Frosh were given out CD samplers from various artists, and one of my Frosh got the Sarah Slean one. I traded her coathangers for it.

It's the only copy I found of it, though. Of all my Frosh. It even has the original projected release date on it: "DAY ONE in stores September 14, 2004 (Canada)"

That's what mine says too... weird.
It's also weird that it was mainly distributed in teh US, to promote an album distributed mainly in Canada
