We're lighting up the city with The Cavalcade Of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square, Saturday, November 24. Canadian designer Brian Gluckstein has created a spectacular Christmas visual extravaganza. CHUM FM's Maie Pauts hosts the festivities as we present live performances by Jully Black, Kim Stockwood, Sarah Slean and many more.

Ooh! Thanks for sharing! Shoot....I'm working on a show that weekend, don't think I'll be able to make it. Darn!!!

Looks like Sarah has a very compacted concert schedule at the end of this month.

I'm gonna be there!
First Sarah show since moving to Toronto....not that it'll be a full show....but you know.

Sarah advised she should be playing 2 seasonal songs at this year's event.

So she did two songs, What Child Is This? and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas... both of which were beautiful! Not much else to report on the performance itself...

In the brief interview they did after the performance she said she "thinks" it will be called The Baroness, and the party line right now seems to be a release in March of 2008, though we all know how little a tentative release date actually means.

Can't wait for December 21!

CP24 were showing the event live but they cut away on and off during the event for ads and to recap the days news.

Unless I missed something, they cut out Sarah and just showed a portion of her singing in the group act at the end.

They did show a fair amount of the other artists. Maybe Sarah will be shown in a repeat.

I was also there this past Saturday. I'm not much of a fan of Christmas songs, but Sarah did them beautifully.

There was a group act at the end? Damn, I didn't stick around... what did they do??

And Yen, those are AMAZING photos! You must have been MUCH closer than I!

They did Walking in a Winterwonderland. It really wasn't organized well with fumbling papers, the camera on the wrong people, commentators cutting in, and fading out to end the program while the song continued.

The carol was most likely far more enjoyable for those in the square.
