And I think the girls in that poll all look better than Kalan or Gord. No wonder he spent so much time looking at his hair that day, he was probably wondering if there was any possible way to start all over.

I've seen Kalan Porter, against my will. I was not overly impressed.

I would agree with siren on this one. I think the boy has some talent as a musician... he's just trying wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too hard to be a pop star. It's comical.

give it a few more months and he'll be replaced by the next Canadian Idol

I think Mr Porter is so mediocre it's scary.

As for Madam Slean. When the heck is she gonna win a Juno already??

I'll agree with the "some talent" comment - at least relative to your average Canadian Idol contestant.

What the boy really needs is new handlers, new management, etc,etc...they're taking him down a path that is utterly ridiculous and focused, no doubt, on only their own pocketbooks.

Oh, and can we get this back on track as the "Oh my, how delicious did Sarah look at the Junos?" thread that it should be?

sorry jim, i'm sticking with kalan for a minute. =) he actually has quite a gorgeous voice - his rendition of Nature Boy last season gave me goosebumps i'll admit - and he's a fine violinist. what i like about kalan is that you can tell that he hates the music he's being forced to make. whenever i see him perform or in interviews he's got this kind of forlorn and almost embarrassed look on his face. anyone has well-trained and classically based as he is knows that his stuff sucks. poor bastard.

as for sarah, i thought she looked far lovelier at the phoenix show than she did at the junos.
