It took me a while to find the article, and it is indeed in German. You can find it (specifically) here.

A quick run through Babel Fish translates it to:

I think the combination of the lost-in-translation effect with the use of German slang (Popplatte, I'm sure, has a REALLY cool meaning in German) resulted in a VERY interesting translation.

However, I think it's really awesome that she is getting German media attention, and I really hope one of our passioneers speaks a little German and can translate for us.

The review sounds unlike any of the other stalk ones I have read. Who the producers were, a reference to sweet ones and nightbugs, and her stay in the cottage.

instead metaphors were used taking the music in reference to food and being alone in a cave? sounds interestnig.

Excited to hear that it has indeed arrived in Germany. I wonder if anyone here will import it to see if this release has any differences. Switching the secret songs would be so tricky =p

Heh, with my knowledge of German and Dutch, I'll try to give a better (although rather loose) translation.

"Wonderpop"

Comparisons always contain a certain "�dness" (?) factor. When you hear the Canadian Sarah Slean during the first few songs, the darkness will immediately make you think of Nick Cave. But then you'll have to reconsider, because it continues in a way that defies any label. Pop, indiepop, contemporary pop, dark pop, "Schn�rkelpop und Pomppop" (?) rage from song to song.

Usually with a rather pessimistic mood, but often 'saveing'. This is the way that Sarah Slean presents herself as a songwriter, but as an artistic songwriter, not like her colleagues. Sarah Slean is furious, cries out her pain or plays the lulled popbaby. Not something you should hear without having practiced. Not that it's inaccesible, but a vegetarian doesn't immediately eat a little piglet on the first day of it's new life either.

A beautiful pop record, that really deserves the label of pop and [I have no idea how to translate the rest of the sentence].
