i dont know if this has been posted or not, but there any news regarding a new album from tara maclean? i liked "the bridge" by shaye, and passenger was very well done; but that was in 1999, and nearly 5 yrs after still no word. granted, though, she recently had a baby. so any news is good news i guess. thanks. cheers!

Tara mentioned on her website (www.taramaclean.com) that she had been doing some writing for a new album sometime back in the fall. However, when Shaye played at Brock in December, they had a bit of a Q&A after the show and I asked the girls what the future held for them, and all three agreed that they could never see themselves not being in the band (pardon the double negative). My understanding is that they're currently writing for the next album (the song "God" which was set for The Bridge is already slated to be there... they've promised as much everytime they've performed it). They're still planning to tour a little, but they've also promised the new album for some time this year -- in other words probably early next year.

Shaye was at York U in early December and I spoke to Tara .. the new Shaye record will come out first and she said her own album should be out in the Fall.

Yeah .. I think the Brock show was before YOrk U .. though maybe something changed within those few days in between??

Haha. Possibly. THat's still confusing. Oh well, it'll be nice to hear new stuff from both. Hopefully it means that Kim and Dav can each release their own CD's too
