I've heard very little about it, which is strange because it's out soon. I love Phantom's music. I remember listening to a tape when I was younger and absolutely loving it all.

[quote:eb97aa750d="sourburger"]Rent, as directed by Chris Columbus. Most of the original Broadway Cast are playing the roles.[/quote:eb97aa750d]

Chris Columbus? That's interesting.
Oh, no one will understand this, but whenever I think rent I think "will you light my candle" and an endearing airband re-creation at a summer camp involving two older counsellors...oh, fun times indeed...but that's my own little anecdote to myself.

As for Phantom, the film trailer gives me shivers...I remember seeing in Toronto when I was quite young and not understanding much (which is sad).

You stole my words.

I can't remember how old i was when i saw it there. If I search my room I wouldn't be surprised if I came up with a ticket stub. I loved it, still love it. It's my fave musical.

I saw it from the third row which let me peer into the pit and see the musicans playing. The smoke that rolled over the stage flowed almost right into us feeling that we were put right in the scene. The crashing chandelier seemed to fall right on our heads. The music, the power in those voices, story, and dresses just haunted me.

I was fortunate to see a few other musicals as a kid but this stands #1 with Les Mis @ #2. The movie does sound interesting but I don't think it could compare.

Cameron Bay.
