cam says i'm a woman of many talents.
i'd agree, but that might be a bit conceited. Wink

she's a writer, a journalist, well-dressed... what more can she do?

why, sing, play guitar and piano AND write songs, of course! *gasp*

i'm in such a weird mood tonight...
i borrowed my sister's computer mic to record a few songs tonight. i recorded a cover of my favourite stars song from their newest album. it's not the best quality, but bear with me.

Calendar Girl

there's more where this came from!
but for now... thoughts? be kind and gentle please. my ego isn't too strong yet.

Beautiful! That is one of my favourite songs from STARS

` I wanna be the bluebird singing
Singing to the roses in her yard
Roses in her yard her father grew for her
It's been raining like Tennessee honey
So long I got too heavy to fly
Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing `

Oh yeah! What do you use for recording?

bravo wini!

where were you on karaoke night??? you would have put my rendition of "Shiny Happy People" to shame... wait... I did that myself Red Faceops:

hehe...

Though I like Calendar Girl my favorite from the new album would have to be "One More Night." When they introduced it at the show as their song about f*cking someone while wanting to kill them at the same time... I was a little surprised. Can't say I've even had that experience but I must say it is one heck of a song. But then, of course, I am a sucker for any song with strings.

just a generic computer mic that came with my sister's dell computer and all the goodies that came with the package. she has no need for it, so i'm borrowing it for the time being.

and thanks guys... *blushes* i plan on recording some of my original stuff in the next while, so we'll see how that goes.

nik, calendar girl and your ex-lover is dead are my favourite songs. when they started doing calendar girl, i was singing along with my eyes half-closed and nearly in tears by the end. something about it really touches me, especially the second verse ("i dreamed i was dying...").

torquil had a lot to say about the fucking and such. what an interesting guy!
