yeah I could recommend up the ying-yang if you want more Canadian artists lol But her music is just spiffy! If I lived closer, I would definitely make a trip to see her play

Went to Valery's gig at the Rivoli last night, as part of the Canadian Music Week fest happening this weekend here in Toronto.

Alas, I interpreted the 8:00 start time as "doors" time, forgetting that with the CMW on, the night would be filled with back-to-back-to-back acts. So when i strolled into the Riv' @ 9-ish, Valery was just finishing up her set. :cry:

Anyway, the little bit I caught was terrific and the crowed (a packed house I might add) was quite buzzed by her performance.

I did get a chance to chat with her for a few minutes...she's playing another gig in TO on Monday which I will definitely be checking out and her CD is scheduled for release on April 26.

Thanks again PT for the reco and check your email, I've got a little susprise for you.
