Yep I'm kind of a fan of some of their stuff... namely "Aenima". I used to listen to it whenever I feel buggered off at work. What I really like about them are their videos. The stop-motion animation is quite appealing. (Can't wait till [color=darkred:8b6b8ea28e][u:8b6b8ea28e]Corpse Bride[/u:8b6b8ea28e][/color:8b6b8ea28e] comes out in theatres.)
Cheers. [You give them your music, but they just want a song]
I appreciate Tool, but have never been a big fan. They're a little too alt-prog for my tastes, but I really like prog music in general (and especially prog-metal). I much prefer bands like Dream Theater and Symphony X, which are a little less "weird" and a lot more technically proficient.
I quite enjoy Tool. The only albums I have are Aenima and then Lateralus, both of which have several good songs on them. But the unfortunate thing is that almost every second song within their cd's are minute long fillers, such as the static before the song "Forty Six and Two" on Aenima. Sure, it can be claimed artistic creativity, and to help create the mood of the cd's, but Tool cd's aren't cheap (Generally around the $25 dollar range) so it's a bit of a rip to buy the cd's.
Oddly enough, I find that Tool is an excellent band to fall asleep to, which is weird, since they hammer through some sections of their songs.
