I just wanted to give you cool cats a heads up about a benefit concert coming up on Thursday, October 19th at the Rivoli (Queen, just east of Spadina). It's for a very good cause - the Second Chance Wildlife Sanctuary: http://www.second-chance.ws/

Nice, another benefit concert. Nice to catch Valery and Lindi at the same show. I have never seen Kurt Swinghammer live.

Yep, it's definitely gonna be a great show. Kurt Swinghammer has done work with Sarah Slean in the past. Mia Sheard, Valery Gore and Graham Powell are all awesome. You all may not have heard of Peirson Ross, but I've seen him play at Sassafraz a bunch of times (Lindi was playing there in August and September) and he's definitely a cool cat. Sorta like a combination of Dave Matthews and Springsteen. Saigon Brothel is a very good friend of ours (we did his website) and he's a damn fine guitar player as well as an excellent cook. He's more country / bluegrass and plays a mean slide guitar.

Mia Sheard... haven't heard of her doing a show for a while!

Kurt and Mia were part of C'est What?'s last night... definitely a great duo. Not to be missed!

Did anyone else end up going? It was a fun evening with great performances. It's too bad I had to leave early and missed the last two acts.
