my first show in a club (turning 19 tomorrow). if you dont know about the ditty bops (if you do as well) and if you're in the vancouver, i strongly suggest going to this show on sunday. i wager this is going to be a great night! cheers!

mine was yesterday....although i passed the 19 year threshold some years ago.

And although I haven't checked out their music yet, this is the third mention i've heard of them in the last day or two. Sounds like they're worth exploring.

I love Richards on Richards... my favorite Vancouver venue after the Railway Club. If you�re into intelligent hip hop(ish) music, check out Sweatshop Union and the Pocket Dwellers there next week.

I sort of know a guy in Sweatshop Union... we met while both volunteering for Christmas giftwrapping for charity at a mall a few years ago. I remember he was all over my eclectic taste in music and made me make out a list of musicians to check out.

Like two months later I saw him in a music video on Much Music. weird.

anyway... show was yesterday and i have to say it was one of the best shows i've been to date. the music, the interesting props and stories in between; it was a very sweet, intimate type of show. i got a t-shirt, and their US-released CD -- along w/ my Canadian-released CD (i have 2 of them now!). the CDN album was signed by both amanda and abby. i really hope they come back to vancouver -- i wont hesitate to see their show again!

and what did you think of the seams?

i actually came late and missed the entire set of the seams. sorry i couldn't give a review of their performance. blanche's set was good, but i couldn't hear one of the singers -- i guess the mic wasnt on or something.

Did you get any pictures of Blanche?

Tracee Mai is one of the most beautiful women. I was going to see them on their last visit to Toronto but fell terribly sick that day.
