Nicole must think I'm INSANE 'cause I called her when I heard this while driving.

This morning I was listening to CHUM before I took a shower, and then as I got back into my bedroom the DJ said "and that was a brand new song called Mary by Sarah Slean, her new album is called Day One"... despite the many temporal inaccuracies on it, I freaked out. CHUM has not played ANY Day One songs, which was kinda sad for me... In my opinion their playing of Sweet Ones really gained her a LOT of attention in this area -- CHUM is by far the #1 station in southern Ontario when it comes to listenership.

Anyways, later this afternoon while driving, I was listening to the Mix and literally SHRIEKED like a little girl because I heard it on the Mix too!! Not only that, it was ... different. Not drastically, but clearly it's been remixed to be radio friendly!!! EEK! I actually rather like it, it's very... well, radio-friendly! lol. I just heard it on CHUM FM again a few minutes ago and hit record on my tape player. I'll see what I can do about MP3'ing it, PM or MSN me if you're interested!

This is awesome, she had tons of attention when Sweet Ones came out... and then since it was the only single from the album it kinda fizzled away But since this album has other singles that are already released perhaps if Mary becomes a big summer hit they'll play Lucky Me and Day One a lot too

I wonder if Corry Kim or the DJ Steve had anything to do with this. Il email that fellow back. Not sure if I like this more then the CLounge Mix but it's not bad.

I have a hypothesis -- they probably want a single to lead off her tour in Europe, and possibly album release in Scandinavia and England??? She did mention she'd only be touring places the album is released, so I'd be interested to see their release there!
