Wow! I knew there was something up when C100 played it a few days ago. I know this song will be big. I knew it before and was very disappointed when it seemed to disappear a few months back. Congrats Sarah!

6/26/2005 5:12 PM MARY SARAH SLEAN

Haven't seen it on M3 yet Frowner

I have been paying attention to German concert listings and you have had some great acts. The Kills, Arcade Fire, Prodigy, Ani Defranco, Feist, Slean, etc all play there within the last few months.

Is Rotterdamn/Techno/Hardcore Gabba still popular there. Outside Glastonbury... the Love parade was always something I thought I would enjoy. I was thinking about seeing Germany this year for WYD.

ohh and back on topic, most radio stations on here are streamed online. try mix999 and chum fm.

Just listening to it again... anyone know what the backup singers are singing during the "ma-a-a-ary" bits? is it just singing bababababa, or are there words? I can't quite tell. Anyone?

I`m absolutely not into that. Im sorry. Never been to the Love Parade, either... what I regret, because I think it will be cancelled... heard sth. like that.

But Id love to go to an Arcade Fire Concert! Just bought their Funeral album 3 days ago, these guys rock! 8)
Thanx for the info!

Woohoo!!! Just heard it on Magic 106.1 in Guelph!!! That wasn't on the original list, so it's good to hear it's still being added! Smiler

Also add 105.1 The River in Niagara Falls. I think this means that pretty well every soft rock/pop station in the golden horseshoe is now playing it!! (with the possible exception of Toronto's EZ Rock, I haven't heard it on there yet).
I'm surprised The River was so slow to pick it up -- they're the ONLY station around here that played Day One!!!

The remix is cool. Anyone able to get a CD-quality version of it? If it came out in CD-single form, I'd get it for sure! I played out the album version awhile back so this is just what I need to rekindle my love for the song!

Totally.I'd buy one too. Or a vinyl release!! haha. It's rather upbeat, maybe the dance stations and clubs will pick it up!!

My vote is for a vinyl single release of this. I think that would temporarily appease all of us looking for both vinyl and a single release! lol

Oops! Shouldn't have spoken of this in the other "Mary" thread, this is probably a better place to put it.

Does anyone else not particularly care for the Mary re-release? It kind of lost its "Old World charm" for me as a dance track. I was actually just a little upset when I heard it. Red Faceops:

Lipo - I'm with ya on this. I mean, sure its a catchier version and definitely more radio-friendly - which is obviously why it was remixed - but i feel this version takes away some of the emotional resonance behind the story.

Regardless, its obviously resulting in some additional radio play for Sarah, so yah Sarah!

Hmmm. I like both versions. It was always a happy peppy upbeat sort of song so a dance-like version of it isn't too far off the original take on the song. However, it translates beautiful into a piano solo song as well. Versatile as a song, really.

Ooh I just heard it on CHUM and some woman actually called in to request it!! That's so exciting, that *other* people are actually hearing it, liking it, and requesting it!! She's getting just a little less play now than artists like Natasha Bedingfield, and more than Jann Arden!!

EDIT:
Did some searching and this week there were 132 plays on 10 stations including one add... funnily enough that's more plays than OLP!
