Remember the Jammin Ottawa show? Well the forum for the live taping has now been taken down but the air date for the special was posted to Navy Soup.

It says it will brodcast in Ottawa on March 13th but I believe the whole CBC network will carry it, atleast that's what I hope. More info will probally become more appearant as the date approachs.

Is it just me or the Brodcast Centre rings a bell simular to the much environment? CBC seems to be Canada's real music station, for people that love music. Play>>, Zed, and these specials are really offering something different. Then Just Concerts online really hammers things home.

That's off topic I know, but Sarah playing live on CBC seems to be happening far more times then on the nations music station.

I have to agree. I'd much rather watch CBC then any of the MUCH programs.. which is happening alot with the younger generation! A lot of people I know prefer the CBC programs as of late.

I miss the old MuchMusic... the one that actually played videos... and played lots of Canadian videos, and very random things that you wouldn't even hear on the radio. That was the real nation's music sttation

I know what you mean. I find it really sad, that we as a nation don't seem to support our own art enough. And then you have artists complaining about not being able to make a living in this country -- they are't given a lot of chance. I do miss old old much music where it was video's other then hideous rap artists,reality shows and the likes. I wish there were more shows that just SPECIFICALLY talked about canadian indie art,music and writing that was given to the large masses. I know these things EXIST, it's just they aren't given to a large huge mass population to digest or given enough air time to do it

well put PT. There are still the occasional indie shows and such, but not many. They used to play all sorts of eclectic stuff during the day, mixed in with the other pop. I liked that. It brings attention and a bit of normality to somewhat 'alternative' or 'independant' music. Now, even the big-name acts can't even get their videos played unless it's in the top 30 or being voted on on MoD. Perhaps we should start a "let's rag on MM and M3" thread... it seems to be pretty common.

I'm having doubts if the whole CBC network will in fact carry this special or not. I looked at my tv listings (rogers, toronto) for the 13th at 4pm on CBC and jammin is not listed.

Unless it's on one of the other cbc channels, it might be just shown locally?

Good thing this board does have friends in Ottawa

I'm in the Windsor area. It doesn't appear to be on our schedule here. I will tune in and see if they show it.

i haven't heard any news of anyone that was in the ottawa area that can say if it was or wasnt on.

I can tell you it wasn't on in the Windsor area. We got a wildlife documentary and Life and Times.
