So I didn't realize that this CD was even out yet, but it is, and Lucky Me is on it!! I'm buying my copy tomorrow (She's sandwiched between Norah Jones and Madonna... what an eclectic CD! )

I also think it's the radio version that's on the CD.

Personally, the tracklisting on Vol 8 doesn't impress me too much aside from Sarah's song.

I cant' stand that version, but being the insane collector that I am it makes me happy to know there is an officially released CD recording of the radio version out there

I'm not a fan of the radio version either. Mainly because I always sing along and when it hits to the parts that got cut out, I feel silly.

Hate radio versions....blah!

Wondering why she's on it though. I remember reading somewhere that she was against these "women" categorizations in principle and only did the earlier one 'cause quite frankly she needed the cash.

This is her 4th Women & Songs CD... 5th if you count the Xmas one.


I generally like radio versions of a lot of songs, but the only difference in this one is the REMOVAL of stuff. If it was an edit or remix or something then maybe I'd like it more... oh well. Some stations play the album version.

And yes, I always sing along too and on the 'lalala's it goes into "A wise man" before i'm done!! lol

Are you sure? The CD came out in 1998 and that quote is from 2002...

Finally got the CD and got a chance to listen to it today (too busy at the Shaye concert lol), and I can confirm that yes it IS the radio mix.

well I didn't date the quote, but I do know she said something very similar (if not that exactly) in an interview not long after women and songs 2 came out... though that one may have been after 4.
