an email to cbc might be interesting to see if they do have planst to scheduale it again. looks like they only attened to air those 2 times but hopefully it will come out again.

I have been trying to see if any Jorane fans taped it seeing that was on her pages offical news. She seems to have a dedicated following in canada and abroad. (someone could have recorded via the webcast). no luck so far.

i wish i would have kept up with this thread and remembered to listen. :|

(the links to pictures is in the banner image).
Looks like Sarah was on piano for one group song with Jorane (7) and did a second standing with all the other girls(9).

The shots almost look like captures from a TV camera. How nice would it be to have this show aired.

I liked her quote. I wonder if she gave it in French or if they translated it from English into French.

[quote:9c52ba0dc1]Ce jour est un vu rempli despoir; la promesse de ne jamais oublier les combats et les injustices du pass, de protger les progrs accomplis et de rester vigilant pour les gnrations venir.
-Sarah Slean[/quote:9c52ba0dc1]

"This day is a hope-filled wish; the promise to never forget the struggles and injustices of the past, to protect our accomplishments and to keep vigil for the generations yet to come."

Well she did say she had been practicing her french... perhaps she had some pre-prepared comments in french?

I remember at the Waterloo show, she tried explaining the story behind Mary in French and had trouble with it. Her French was ok, but she still struggled with it. I would agree with Cam that this is a translation.

French is such a hard language! I was in a french school for like six years, and still would sound remedial to native speakers. Chances are it was translated, but Sarah never ceases to amaze me.. so maybe it wasnt.

` I wanna be the bluebird singing
Singing to the roses in her yard
Roses in her yard her father grew for her
It's been raining like Tennessee honey
So long I got too heavy to fly
Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing `

I really really liked this article. Unfortunately, I am no longer in the mood for lengthy translations. To get the general feeling, dump it into babelfish... or if you reeeeally want a translation... if there is enough interest, i will do it. Smiler

They really focused on Jorane and Sleans contribution to the night... of course Jorane deserves attention for having organized it. I didnt realize it was a benefit for women with drug addictions.

I liked the quote where Slean says hanging around with Jorane has been helping her improve her French. Considering the nature of the interview and that comment, its likely these responses were given in French.

I also liked how she brought up the guy she met in France who said "Tu chante avec chaleur." That was such a pretty little story... I believe it got attention the first time she was on Gabereau. The story got cut off and a bunch of people emailed her asking for the rest of the story.

Wonderful!
