Sarah Slean has received a nomination nod for the 20th annual Gemini Awards. She is nominated in "Best Performance in a Performing Arts Program or Series" for her performance of 'The Score' at 2004 Governor General Awards. The category will be presented on Friday November 18th, the "Industry Gala" night of the 3 day event. Other nominees can for the event are shown here.

Sarah will likely be between Saskatoon and Victoria on her tour at the time of the award show that takes place in Toronto.

The broadcast for the Industry Gala will be on November 20, 2005 at 7:00 pm EST in the Toronto, York Region, Kitchener/Waterloo & Ottawa Regions on Rogers Television.

Good for her. Congratulations Sarah.

I enjoyed that performance. If only Sarah could have an orchestra with her at all shows.

It was a surprise to find it. I didn't know they had an award for such an catagory. It was an excellent performance and so unique to see.

I'm not to familuar with the other nominees in this catagory. I think it will be exciting to see if she can take it.

the Gemini Awards are interesting.. there's actually an award for "Best Live Sporting Event", with nominees "2005 Tim Horton's Brier," "CFL on TSN: Wendy's Friday Night Football: Montreal at Hamilton" and "Stanley Cup Finals: Calgary VS Tampa: Game Seven". lol

Sarah confirmed yesterday that she will not be able to attend this event but seemed very happy with the nomination.

She still is considering a new dress, "maybe blue". haha 8)

My girlfriend is also nominated for an award at the Geminis and will be attending. I've suggested to her that she accept Sarah's Gemini for her should she win. :wink:

And here's also to Ben Mulroney not winning anything.
