It was excellent! Too bad that CBC used fuzzy film instead of videotape. :? I also taped the whole show on VHS including the commercials. I thought that CBC would also show the 15 second commercial of Sarah's CD "Day One" but CBC did not show it.

Just to note,
Nic pointed out to me that Sarah was on the board today around 11:30 at night. She seemed not to stay to long but it's a safe guess that she may have read the reviews on this show, or thought about adressing the mix99 thread.

She didn't make a post and her name is highlighted in red with the online users shown on the front page.

check your msgs jason =p

pretty sweet capture Smiler

I used to receive channels with a simular quality. the source of my problems were loose cables. make sure all of them are tight, (espeially if using a splitter). second thing to help was updating my media centre.

it's a pleasure to watch and hear.

OH MY GEE Sarah was in the house! I hope she did read these reviews!

It was an awesome performance. I also loved that she walked off the stage. Don't know why, but I thought it was so cool. Everyone around me was like "Woah! She walked off stage!" even though it wasn't a faux pas or anything. Something very striking about it.

([b:1d41f842d0]SIDENOTE[/b:1d41f842d0]: Who else thought the Rufus/Martha Wainwright bit stole the show? It was possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life. After Sarah, of course! )

Yes! That was very awesome. I wasn't too aware of who they were paying homage to, but it was still hilarious !Smiler

The McGarrigle Sisters looked so posh too! Smiler

Funny story: I was reading a message board, and someone said that at [i:d115d3d224]The Aviator[/i:d115d3d224] premier (Kate McGarrigle was accompanying her son) two of Rufus's fans yelled "HI RUFUS'S MOM!" And she was really excited about being recognized.

Haha! I love folk singers, they are so awesomely grounded and humble! Big Grin

The McGarrigle Sisters were/are great. My parents had some of their cds that I have fluttered through over the years. I was never a fan, but as I've grown older I've really grown to love their stuff.

` I wanna be the bluebird singing
Singing to the roses in her yard
Roses in her yard her father grew for her
It's been raining like Tennessee honey
So long I got too heavy to fly
Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing `

I always thought Martha sounded a lot like her mom/aunt on some of her songs. Especially on Lolita." But that might just be me! Big Grin

Oh, also, I had to say: Sarah's outfit was lovely, and I also loved that they referred to her as a "rising star." My only complaint was the set design/background in blue and red. It was rather psychedellic.

Not that Sarah really needs visuals to succeed as a performer. But everything was so elegant, and that thing looked like a screensaver. I wish they had used Sarah's art as a background instead. *swoons*

But maybe it was just me ... Red Faceops:
