Hiya,

You know, this is actually the [i:01fa12f3e5]first[/i:01fa12f3e5] forum for fans that I have ever joined. I usually listen to songs by 'Godspeed You! Black Emperor', 'Mogwai', 'Radiohead', and some others. Note I did not mention Sarah Slean in my list. Frankly, I just found out about Sarah Slean last week, while reading an article about her on Vancouver's news and entertainment paper 'The Grorgia Straight'. Following the article, I went on Sarah Slean's website and listened to her demo songs on the webpage: 'Lucky Me', 'Day One', and 'California'. What can I say, I was amazed. There's no strict style to her songs. 'Lucky Me' is more rock than the mellow out 'California', and guess what, I don't think I could tell that they were sang by the same artist if I didn't know. Aside from that, her lyrics (if you check out the bands I usually listen, you'll find that they rarely have lyrics) just stunned me. Hahhaha frankly they are too deep for me so I had to listen a few more times to comprehend them. Hhahaha anyway, long story short, I found her unique and just wanted to join this forum.

Oh and, Happy Halloween, and Daylight Saving was last night, so turn back your clock if you have forgotten to do so.

Eric

Then I strongly recommend [u:e87e39bd14]Explosions in the Sky[/u:e87e39bd14]. They're a purely instrumetal rock band, with a bit of ambience. I don't know how else to describe them. You'll have to check 'em out fer yerself.

Cheers.
[You give them your music, but they just want a song]

For those that enjoy ambient and instrumental music, have you ever checked out the Beta Band, or Boards of Canada? I highly recommend them both. Boards of Canada I've recently discovered..."ROYGBIV" is my fav song so far, and "Beware the Friendly Stranger" is the music for the Salad Fingers animated cartoon that you can see on Weebls-stuff.
