Yes! I love it.
In fact, we should do so using wireless internet -- also stolen ~ If this is the car, that I must drive to the job, that I must keep for the house, and a man I don't love; count me out. ~ ~ Sweet hope is glowing in your glorious eyes ~ |

ROTFLMAO.....
I love it....I am SO there for this Passioneer busker fest! ...jim [i:53cc3dbc5d]there's good love out there, just you wait[/i:53cc3dbc5d] |

What else can we do to rip off the rich people while entertaining the poor??

Perhaps while we are "entertaining" we can empty out the offices of the rice to see our show and in doing so, take their staplers...and paper clips.
"I don't need you to buy me dinner. I just need you to love me." |

Hmm.
OR break into an office building (ok, sneak in) and ask for spare change.... though that won't really hurt them much... And unfortunately I'm one of the accountants that *helps* rich people. boo. ~ If this is the car, that I must drive to the job, that I must keep for the house, and a man I don't love; count me out. ~ ~ Sweet hope is glowing in your glorious eyes ~ |

joy is contagious. Simply by being Passioneers and spreading joy to the bay street bankers will indirectly help heal some of the ills of the corporate world.

Hrm... we could steal their paper and pens and write them sonnets of deliriously yummy words ? Then place the neon colored stickey notes on these said Bay Street Bankers until they have Passioneer technicolor coats?

If we had some money we could somehow fly all the people in Mexico or China here that those CEOs have making money for them in sweatshops, dress them as fatcat investors with fictional backgrounds and send them to their company's Christmas parties. We could act as their translators and snub the CEOs all night. Not sure I could pull it off or what it would accomplish but it sounds like fun to me.
Somewhere along the line we should get those Voyageur characters from The Kids In the Hall involved. Which reminds me -- whenever I go busking the businessmen won't even look at me while homeless dudes will give me a share of their earmings -- and sometimes offer me a swig of gin -- damn the world can be unfair. I hope there is really something we can do. Which also reminds me about a wonderful lost phenomenon of the 1990's - mixed tapes. So now I have to come to terms that it is now mixed CDs, but it can still cause much gentle, beautiful termoil within the music industry. I learned about some of the best music I have ever heard from mixed tapes -- the Pixies, Cat Power, Nina Simone, The Handsome Family.... Sarah Slean!!! So lets resurrect it. I am going to make a mixed CD for everyone I know for Christmas this year to introduce them to some great music they will most likely never hear otherwise. I beaseach you to do the same... its one small step for art against the corporate music machine!!! |

[/quote:ce1228405a] I still do that to this day -- though it is Mixed Cd's. I'll make a copy of songs I really love and think people should know about. Then I'll leave them in malls, buses and libraries for people to find. I know of some friends that do that with books as well.. with copies they are finished with and loved. That should be part of the Passioneer's agenda! ` I wanna be the bluebird singing Singing to the roses in her yard Roses in her yard her father grew for her It's been raining like Tennessee honey So long I got too heavy to fly Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing ` |

I like. a lot.
but what happens if you leave it on the bus, or at the mall, and it just gets thrown out? ~ If this is the car, that I must drive to the job, that I must keep for the house, and a man I don't love; count me out. ~ ~ Sweet hope is glowing in your glorious eyes ~ |

You just go on blind hope/faith someone finds it and they fall in love with it as much as you do. ` I wanna be the bluebird singing Singing to the roses in her yard Roses in her yard her father grew for her It's been raining like Tennessee honey So long I got too heavy to fly Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing ` |

I am really liking this "leave a mixed cd where someone could find and enjoy it" idea...I might even do that when I go home for Christmas and make pretty labels for them
