[quote:dfc7b9486e="nikolita"]that's what jim and I have been discussing. Personally I think sarah would be more interested in seeing our creative sides outside of her image.

I remember sarah when she was on the mike bullard show and he asked sarah about her fans and she mentioned that some fans had been giving her portraits of herself at shows and she said they were nice but she didn't know what to do with them. That she would have preferred a nice landscape or something.

I think I am going to second what Nik said. Although I think it would be lovely to create stuff [b:dfc7b9486e]about[/b:dfc7b9486e] Sarah or [b:dfc7b9486e]inspired by[/b:dfc7b9486e] Sarah, I would rather we create things outside of her image. Why offer her a reflection when we can send her shards of ourselves?

I will add my voice to the chorus of suggestions: Sarah's site is divided into various sections, all of which (I am assuming) combine to mimic the human sensorium. I think this scrapbook should be divided into similar sections: the Eye, the Ear, our Pens. And yes, we can remind Sarah to take her (our?) Vitamins. Wink

It will be much harder to come up with something that doesn't involve Sarah herself, but I think the effort might be appreciated. Most importantly, we would be feeding our energy into her. Igniting sparks, yes?

And as far as the format goes, this "scrapbook" shouldn't be limited to real pages. I thought "scrapbook" was just a symbol of what we were doing. Maybe the musical ones can make sounds. The crafty ones could make pots and grow plants. Some might want to make Sarah a dress, or re-engineer an outfit.

Loose leaves make the tree. But those are just some of my suggestions. I thought I would offer them up, even if they aren't very good. Red Faceops:

I love this idea.

` I wanna be the bluebird singing
Singing to the roses in her yard
Roses in her yard her father grew for her
It's been raining like Tennessee honey
So long I got too heavy to fly
Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing `

Aww, thanks! Red Faceops: Here's another that just popped into my head. Didn't Sarah say she is always on the road and has no home? She is the woman in the suitcase, right?

Soo, what if we tried to fill up a small(ish) suitcase/briefcase? I don't know if that's a good idea, but it might make a good travelling companion. Contained energy. And we could even decorate the suitcase ourselves. Paint the Eiffel Tower? Create little night bugs with felt?

:?

Did somebody watch `White Oleander` on television a few nights ago? Wink lol I think that would be amazing. If we found some old suitcases, decorated the outsides with stuff and then filled the suitcases with all of our work. Not only does she get all of our art and stuff.. she can practically use the suitcases when she travels and always be filled up with fan energy for her battery

lol wow this scrapbook has morphed into a very ambitious animal ... and i mean that in the best way possible Smiler

i have an eiffel tower keychain

we could put said srapbook in the suitcase ... i said the word 'scrapbook' to my younger cousin and she like jumped on me ... she's like a scrapbook fanatic ... i'm still lost as to what my page will consist of though.

today, i was at my friend's house and i played Sweet Ones on the piano and her and her little sisters sang along with a meter stick as a mic ... it was hilarious. i tried to headbang while playing like the Slean but I got dizzy and almost hit my head on the piano Red Faceops: i would've killed to have had that videotaped Smiler

Don't panic, I'll get the arc, you get the animals.

These ideas are awesome!

I can't wait to get mine started, I've got so many ideas going through my head right now.

I would sumbit poetry or writing with mine.. but, alas, I am a horrible writer.
Smiler
I am rather artsy fartsy though.

Actually, I better make this short, I have to go pick up my slean tickets soon.
Operation look 19 is going ahead!

[quote:1aac71a9cb="nikolita"]

We need to pick a size of paper so that everyone can just send their page to one person and all the pages will logically fit into the book.

I suggest standard scrapbook sized paper (which you can just cut out of a bigger piece of paper or poster board if you're a guy and don't want to tolerate the social stigma of actually walking into a scrapbook store.)

12" x 12" folks.

~nicole g[/quote:1aac71a9cb]

Quoted from a whiiile back.
I took a look at my scrap book and the piece wasn't big enough.
Thus, I though, okay, scrap booking store.. but then realized I am living in St. John's and we have a lack of crafty stores.

SO, when you say poster board, do you mean like, bristol board?
Y'know that thick stuff kids use for projects that's in a large square.

Well, out of curiosity, would that be too thick?
If not.. do all the pages have to be the same colour, or can I go with red or blue or something?
