It's great that you enjoy listen to other genres of music, especially Ms. Slean. People shouldn't be embarrassed on listen to different kinds of music when being surrounded by people you know. Of course some of my pals thinks I'm weird but that's besides the point...

I think it was summer 2003. I saw the video for "Sweet Ones," recognized the song, and bought Night Bugs. And, cue cheesy music, have been a huge fan ever since. And I might finally get to see her live in March! This is my second post about it, but I'm excited, damnit!

The Sweet Ones video got me interested in her music when I first saw it summer 2002, but it was Duncan that got me hooked. Wish she had done a video for it.

I mixed up a Sarah McLachlan song! I had downloaded "Angel" and it had said that Sarah M had sang it! So I loved it so much, I looked up the lyrics... only to find some girl named `Sarah Slean` had wrote it instead. And soooooo started my crazy love with the musical siren!
` I wanna be the bluebird singing Singing to the roses in her yard Roses in her yard her father grew for her It's been raining like Tennessee honey So long I got too heavy to fly Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing `

I first heard about the Sleanster in May 1999 on the [i:abe4ed8eb8]Every other Day Angels[/i:abe4ed8eb8] mailing list. Paul Schreiber was praising Sarah's talents on the list one day and I was so inspired by his rantings that I bought a copy of her Universe EP that very day. I've been a fan ever since! I've also been a long-time lurker on the Navy Soup mailing list, which I also joined in May 1999.

[/quote:cc3c94e913] Songs are continually misnamed and then passed on through file sharing programs. This particular song was labled something like Sarah McLachlan - Angel, but really it was Sarah Slean - Angel. Clear things up for ya? Radio pretty much did it for me. And 30second clips of "Sweet Ones" on NTV, a local tv station.

Haha, the NTV clips were crucial for me too  I had also heard a lot about her, so when I found out she was going to play at the Ship Inn, me and my friends scrounged up some tickets, then she dedicated a Weezer cover to me, and I was totally hooked from then on.
we all reject for pleasure.

Na, I'm willing to be it's whatever Geoff Sterling or his family wants to see Have you ever seen what NTV sometimes plays late late at night? It's some entertaining stuff. They're nuts.

That's why there are those werid crazy acid trip videos on at like 4 in the morning. You got to love those stupid little commericals where the earth breaks open and out pops the NTV symbol and Captain Canada. What a super hero.[/color:f883ae3fdb]
