OMG. So I need to rant and tell EVERYONE about this 'cause I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo excited!!!!

After some playing and fussing and fidgeting I just downloaded and set Day One as the ringtone for my cell phone!

AND somehow it cost less than actually PAYING to download a ring tone. OK so if anyone has a Motorola v551 (you can probably try it on other phone, but you definitely need to be able to have mp3 ringtones), here's how:

1) Rip the song you want - into .mp3 format
2) Upload the song to a webserver that will allow direct downloading
3) Point the browser on your phone to the exact address you uploaded it to
4) Wait an hour or so for it to download to your phone
5) Hit store
6) Look in your 'sounds' menu and it'll be there, and can be set as a ringtone

The downloading charges for me came to somewhere in the range of 80 cents for a 3.5 MB MP3. A normal ringtone download on my service STARTS at 2.60. Obviously every system will be different.

Nice!! Too bad I'm still using a ghetto samsung flip phone that doesn't support downloadable ringtones. Or I'd be trying this out fer sure.

When my phone finally gets fixed and returned to me, it will once again have the "lalalalalala"s from Lucky Me. It works really well as a ring, actually
