When I preordered the Baroness, the cost of "quick" shipping was $5.25 BUT
when I received my confirmation order, I was charged $6
Anyone else get this?
That "quick" shipping took 9 days to travel under 1000 miles.
I used to ship packages to Japan (roughly 6000 miles away) and those took 4-6 days.

When ordering through the store presale their was only one shipping option was shown. I recall it costing between $6-7. Whatever the amount was, it showed up before the end of the order process so there was no hidden surprises.

Not sure why or how you were quoted 2 different prices. Mine was an order within Canada so there were no currency conversions or other fee's tacked on.

My confirmation email appeared as:
Sub-Total: 13.99
Shipping: 6.00
Tax: 2.60
Total: $22.59 Canadian Dollars

The invoice on mine shows it was processed on 2/6/08, should have been shipped the following day (that was the day of the big snow storm) and it arrived here on the 12th or 13th.

If you feel that you might have been charged an incorrect amount I would email the store. (I can't recall if a phone # was on the invoice)

I normally prefer to purchase off the merch table myself.
