Well... I have another addition for the museum that arrived in my happy hands today... but I'm afraid it would only ever enter the museum on a temporary visit.
Here's my happy little story: So, 2 years ago there were these little sarah slean promo cards I had heard were being given out free by participating Chapters locations. I went to the one at Broadway and Granville in Vancouver, and happily found such mentioned items. Also to catch my eye was a solid wood poster of sarah slean, not only signed, but with the interesting addition of "hee hee" beside her name. I found myself, every time I revisted that particular Chapters, going into the music section to see if the poster was still there. Of course I always thought to ask them if I could have it if they were ever to throw it away... but could never muster the courage to do so. So... the poster remained my private little secret. My happy moment whenever I travelled up the escalator to Chapters and ventured around the corner. I couldn't help but make sure it was [i:938f4e77b5]still there.[/i:938f4e77b5] So today I was visiting with a friend who lives in the Granville/Broadway area and she wanted to pop into Chapters. Instinctively I wandered toward the music section and decided I would embarrass myself by letting her in on my funny little habbit of checking in on the poster. She thought it was great. She marched up to the counter and asked if we could buy the poster. The people at the counter thought it a strange request, but called the store manager to find out. He said I could just have it. Then, a girl went over to the coveted item and dusted it off saying it had been there for years... it had been won in a contest but the winner never showed up to claim it. So... I rode happily home on the bus today with a rather large poster of sarah slean and a grin on my face. Somehow... it WILL fit in my suitcase. ~ng |

that's a brilliant idea!!! Nicole will slowly spread the joy that is Sarah Slean aroudn North America by infecting one Mexican child at a time! ~ If this is the car, that I must drive to the job, that I must keep for the house, and a man I don't love; count me out. ~ ~ Sweet hope is glowing in your glorious eyes ~ |

Here's another idea! How about we start a Sleanbook?
We could buy a giant-sized journal (well, maybe not so huge, considering postage would be heck) and like pass it on/mail it to as many fans as possible so that they can fill it with their art/words/gushing. Theeen someone could give it to Sarah at one of her concerts in March or something. It could be a cool way to show our gratitude (because it doesn't seem like she reads all of our posts) annnd it could be an interesting addition to the Sleanseum! ...Although someone might have to grab it from her and make a run for it! :P |

That is actually a really cool idea. Just a blank book where people could write, draw, or do whatever in it.
I'd love to participate in that! |

Lipo...the Passioneers want and need your support.
Much of what you've suggested was discussed at length earlier this month in the following couple of threads; http://sarahslean.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=180 http://sarahslean.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=212 Given my embarassing lack of creative ability, I've taken the lead on compiling the "Passioneers Vol. 1" book. Post here, or email me directly any ideas/submissions you might have. ...jim [i:53cc3dbc5d]there's good love out there, just you wait[/i:53cc3dbc5d] |

I can't wait to make that book a reality! I'm working on some submissions!

That's a really cool idea lipo! I'm sure she'd love something like that.. and it most certainly goes with the whole Passioneer book!
` I wanna be the bluebird singing Singing to the roses in her yard Roses in her yard her father grew for her It's been raining like Tennessee honey So long I got too heavy to fly Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing ` |
