I just recently discovered Sarah Slean and I love her! I live in Niagara Falls, and I am going to see her in St. Catharines on Monday night. What a great Valentine's gift! I just wanted to say hi to other fans.

Welcome, Heartlyn! What a treat, seeing Sarah Slean on Valentine's DAy - I'm sure she'll have some witty anecdotes or something. have you ever seen her in concert? If so, you're in for a very pleasant surprise. The first time I saw her in concert, I was blown away. I was way more amazed than I thought I would be- which was a lote in the first place!

Welcome sweetheart! Hope you find a happy home here Smiler

` I wanna be the bluebird singing
Singing to the roses in her yard
Roses in her yard her father grew for her
It's been raining like Tennessee honey
So long I got too heavy to fly
Ain't no bluebird ever gets too heavy to sing `

I had a great time. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay after the show and chat with her. She was going to hang out for awhile, but my oldest son was babysitting, and there were some problems at home, so I had to leave -- I did see the entire show though. She was great -- a lot more "theatrical" than I expected. She is a lot more weird than I would have thought, but weird in a good way.

Jeremy Fisher opened the show, and he was spectacular as well. I had never heard of him until yesterday, and now I'll have to add him to my favourites.

That is what a lot of people say when they see her live lol I think it's refreshing

totally agree.
but i'd prefer to use the word 'quirky' than 'weird'.

Cheers.

I agree, "quirky" is good. But personally, I don't consider "weird" to be a negative term, so that works too! Smiler

I am also a new fan. It was great to be captivated by Sarah's music upon hearing it for the first time. Great songs; much better than most of what passes for music these days. I'd like to see her next month in Toronto, but don't know if I can get the night off. Here's hoping.

I guarantee you'll regret it if you don't!
