I just want to thank Jim and Nik for putting this together, and for pulling off what is the best gift we could ever give back to Sarah. Three cheers for everyone involved!

I second that! Smiler
She actually told us that stuff like this is why she does what she does. And she's bringing it to the cabin! Smiler Hopefully we'll inspire her! Smiler

Everyone had such wonderful contributions, I'm so proud of what we all accomplished together. You all deserve a pat on the back Smiler

Wow - what an incredible experience this turned into, not to mention the magical result. Early on I had visions of what it COULD be, but I really didn't imagine for a moment that it would play out as wonderfully perfect as it did.

The contributions from everyone were filled with such passion and joy, each new package that arrived at my office daily the last week or two was like Christmas morning over and over again for me.

The assembly of the book was such a synergy of the people involved and I'm in awe of how it turned out and how it all came together in those final hours before the show.

As for the presentation to Sarah, even the unexpected obstacle of tough-ass security staff turned into such a magical, random moment when Sarah was able to join us outside.

Fellow passioneers, I'm in awe of the talent, energy and passion you all poured into this project and I'm privileged that I was able to be part of it.

Thank you all!

Oh, and btw, Vol. 2 will be even better!

Can't wait to see pictures of this scrapbook. Exams and last minute school work got in the way of me finishing my entry. Perhaps for Vol. 2 I'll give it a whirl.

Sounds like you guys had a blast in giving it to her Smiler

Digital pics were taken of the every page submitted, both individually before assembly, and then once the book was bound.

We'll get them posted-up shortly for all to enjoy. Big Grin

Indeed!! BUT the good news is we have all sorts of ideas now for how to improve the whole process, so next time it should be much MUCH quicker and smoother! And we'll put together more advance notice so everyone has time to do it Smiler

Everything fit in, it was bursting but that was great! Better too full than too empty.

I'm not sure of the total # of entries, I think we went through about 25-30 pages, but some were single sided or poems so we got two into one plastic insert...

RiloKilly (Scott?) your page fit in perfectly. EVERY page did. We had everything from poetry to song lyrics to mix CD's to sketches to watercolours to 3-D interactive pages to prints of oil paintings to blog-entries to origami...and a few other things I'm forgetting right now.

It was just perfect. Just perfect.

In all the excitment i can't remember the exact page count, but it was over 30. The book was literally bursting at the seams.

thanks again.

jim

Don't forget the collages!!! haha. Some of you may be unwittingly in the scrapbook without even knowing it. *evil cackle*
