I found out yeaterday that my boyfriends father is a fan of Sarah. I was extatic. I hope to go to her concert in Toronto in the spring. I'm quite excited. My father may be driving me, though I would prefer to take the train. The boyfriend may be coming with, I do not know.
Secondly, I gave my mother a copy of Ms. Slean's painting "In The Kingdom (A Prayer)" for her birthday. She cried her eyes out. I was pleased. I personally think that the woman in the painting looks just like my mother, basically is my mother, but she insists that it is me. She is going to hang it at work (Coles book store). She also has all the ladies she works with singing Sarahs songs, ever since I got her a copy of Day One, as it is the only one my local music store carries, unfortunatly enough.
Anywho, I just thought I would share that. It's lovely to hear from everyone again. I've missed this board (my old username was 'Rachel'). Have a great evening, everyone.
One of the things I love about Sarah's music is that so many people from different demographics enjoy it. It's fabulous On another note: Sarah has a show in Toronto in the spring?!?!? When did that happen?
I have preordered my tickets and apparently not too many people have so there are great seats still available (you can't order by seat but they said that they haven't processed too many orders yet so it's best to get yours in before tickets go on sale to the general public.)
There is no official date for the show thus far, all I could find out about that is that they're hoping for it to be in March or April
...if this is all we've got to fight for, rage my darling rage...
My mom is so far the only one in my immediate family who I've not yet convinced to come to a Sarah Slean show. My dad took me to the art show last year and was very impressed by her talent (both in painting and musically) and my brother came to one of the Harbourfront shows this year (I think he agrees to these things to shut me up most of the time ) and he really liked her as well
